Passenger Terminal Amsterdam

Located on the IJ in Amsterdam, Passenger Terminal Amsterdam (PTA) receives many cruise ships every year. From that point on, it is the ideal place for passengers to explore Amsterdam. PTA is also a venu for events. Inside the building, passengers are welcomed upon arrival with the dynamically illuminated LED walls.

On behalf of HWM TV & Events, InventDesign supplied the products and assisted in the programming to dynamically illuminate two walls. The programming changes every day so that the walls remain new and interesting for everyone. At events, the walls can easily be converted to live control to involve the lighting in the event as well. Control is true the small but powerful LED pixel controller DiGidot. This also makes it possible to control and/or dim the two walls individually. This was necessary for the wall on the side of the IJ. The neigbours from the otherside of the IJ suffered from too bright light. Luckliy this was easily solved by dimming that wall compared to the other.

InventDesign supplied a total of 11,200 DiGi LED modules E6. This module has 6 RGB LEDs, which are controlled by 16 DiGidot C4 Extended. For extending the range of the DiGidot C4 outputs DiGidot transceiver kit 48 is used.

The dynamically illuminated walls give the interior and exterior of the building a different atmosphere.
